Assignment 1. The inverse filter

 

(See Example 3.1 in Ljung’s book at p66)

Let e(t), v(t) = 0 for t<0 and let c = 0.5. Simulate v(t) when e(t) is according to the figure. Use the first 20 samples of e(t). Use the simulated v(t) and the inverse filter H-1(z) to simulate the (already known) input e(t). Compare the simulated and true e(t) for an increasing number of terms in the expansion for e(t).
