Assignment 6. Indirect force measurement by inverse non-causal filters

 

Here we study the same system as in assignment 5. The task is to design an inverse non-causal filter (as given by Steltzner and Kammer: Input Force Estimation Using an Inverse Structural Filter) and determine the optimum lead. Use model data and displacement data as given in assignment 5. Low-pass filter the displacement data, using two times the system's resonance frequency as filter cut-off frequency, before applying the inverse filter.

Determine the optimul lead by minimizing the RMS in force estimate and plot the estimated load for this filter. Compare with known load from assignment 5.
